Oh, guurrl, this ain’t you mama’s Bingo. This game takes balls…bingo balls that is. In April of 1998, “Legendary Bingo” served up its first set of numbers for charity in West Hollywood and within a few months became a “standing room only” sensation.
17 years later it’s one of LA’s ‘must-do’ events for locals an tourists alike.

Hosted by Jeffery “Bingo Boy” Bowman and his rotating roster of fabulous “Drag Queen Bingo Hostesses,” each event and party is a mix of friends, fun, ridiculousness and, more often than not, a good cause.
This was a tough but fun shoot. One of the challenges of any live event is that, as a producer, you have very little (in this case, ‘no’) control and just have to roll with the punches. Adding to the difficulty was that it was just me an my co-producer, Hilaire, handling multiple cameras, sound, side-interviews, and a big crowd. Special thanks to Hamburger Mary’s for hosting and working with us.
In the end it turned out great and everyone had a blast.
