Bubbleball is one of those sports that brings out the kid in everyone. When you first see it, you can’t help but laugh, then you say ‘I have to try it.’
For one of our fitness themed “1st Look” shows, we traveled to Next Level Sports in Orange County, California and put Ashley in a league game (yes they have leagues!)
It works like this: you climb inside an inflatable hamster-like bubble and subject yourself to getting smashed, bounced, rolled, and flipped. Some have described it as “More fun than soccer, safer than football, cheaper than hockey, and bouncier than basketball.”
The object of the game is similar to soccer, with potential bonus points scored by catching an airborne ball in your bubble and running it (and yourself) into the goal. There are also other games including bubble baseball, sumo smash.
And yes, I had to try it out…including the sumo smash. See below.
